Chip R&D Intern

What Will You Do?

Lumentum, an intense and exciting growing global company, is looking for interns to join our creative team of VCSEL R&D. Our team is hard-working, smart, goal-oriented, and creative. We are looking for an intern who will work on a project related to VCSEL final assembly, backend and testing processes.  In this position, expect to gain real-world hands on experience in a high tech company, and at the same time you will participate in an internship program that includes many exciting activities including lunches with executive team members, presentations, and more. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Research technical publications for possible solution to chip design issues

Designing experiments to test for chip process, package, and reliability improvements

Using data analysis, modeling and simulation to test experimental theories

Document conclusion and recommendations and present to team

Requirements

High speed RF testing experience

A minimum of Junior standing towards a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or related field

Hands-on experience in a research environment

Programming Experience (Python, MATLAB, C++, etc.)

Simulation Experience preferred (COMSOL, ANSYS, SolidWorks, etc.)

Detail-oriented; Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly

Excellent communications skills; written verbal and presentation

A desire for continuous self-improvement

Terms:

At least 24 hours per week, 3-6 months

PLM Intern

Job Responsibilities

Align with internal PLM team members to assist with daily administrative duties

Perform Laser market analysis and research on the latest 3D sensing trends

Monitor all social media platforms for laser trending news and 3D sensing application

Research and evaluate competitor marketing

Requirements

Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices

Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Work independently and attend weekly meeting

Current enrollment in an undergraduate course for Marketing, Communications or similar field

Familiarity with marketing computer software and social media platforms

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Terms:

At least 24 hours per week, 3-6 months

Supply Chain Support Intern

Job Description

We are looking for a self-motivated Supply Chain Planner (internship) based in Taipei, Taiwan. This Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for report automation and process improvement of SCM team to support Lumentum’s business needs and demand in 3D sensing business.

In this position you will:

Improve the automation of SCM report and planning table

Support daily production tracking, solving issues in real-time

Daily report publish and issue follow-upsRequired

Qualifications:

BS degree in industrial engineer, information management, or other relevant majors.

Strong VB and database background.

Knowledge of supply chain management or ERP system related experience & concept

Fluent in English

Knowledge of semiconductor process is a plus

CPIM certificate is a plus.
